I qualified as a teacher at the University of Cambridge before completing my PhD in English Literature in London. I have taught at one of the top-seven attaining UK schools, and have been an English tutor for the past eight years. I am now devoting even more time to tutoring. 

I specialise in English Language and Literature, supporting students from KS3 up to undergraduate level. I teach students of all abilities, and students with additional learning needs. 


My priority is to make sessions both focused and fun, helping students accrue knowledge and develop skills that will benefit them for years to come.

How can I help

I am an approachable, meticulous, and kind tutor who works with students to achieve individual goals in their learning journey. I adopt a student-centred approach to learning, allowing students to gain knowledge and skills through active enquiry. This enables students to develop their critical and reflective thinking, an essential skill not only for English Literature but for all academic subjects.
